The dragging effect of Inditex has not only served to turn its historical Galician suppliers into multinationals and to promote a clothing pole in the north of Portugal. Wherever Amancio Ortega‘s company is based, an auxiliary and service industry is flourishing and growing at an accelerated pace, in line with the sales of the Galician multinational.
The same is happening in Zaragoza, where Inditex has one of the logistics centers of its reference chain, Zara, which has already helped the city’s airport to compete with El Prat in terms of cargo volume. On the mainland, in the same business park where Inditex’s Plataforma Europa logistics center is located, another company is experiencing spectacular growth thanks to the work it is doing for Zara.
