At Lacor Textil, we believe that the best way to drive the future of our industry is by investing in people. That is why, for another year, we have taken part in the Industrial Ironing Training Programme for the Textile Sector, a project developed in collaboration with Fundación Rey Ardid as part of Fundación “la Caixa”‘s Incorpora programme.
Our involvement began at the very start of the project, taking part in the selection process to identify candidates whose profiles best matched the needs of the textile industry. Then, through Lacor Formación, we delivered the technical training to the 15 participants, providing them with the knowledge and skills required in fabrics, industrial ironing equipment, and professional ironing techniques.
After completing the training, the participants spent two weeks undertaking work placements at our facilities, where they gained first-hand experience of daily operations at Lacor Textil, continued developing their skills, and put into practice everything they had learned during the course.
We had the opportunity to speak with several of the participants, all of whom highlighted how much they had learned throughout the programme. They also shared how welcomed and supported they felt by our team, expressing their gratitude for the opportunity provided by all the organisations involved in making this project possible.
Initiatives like this demonstrate that when businesses and social organisations work together, they create real opportunities for training and employment. In fact, last year’s edition resulted in two participants joining our team, an achievement that encourages us to continue supporting projects of this kind.
