The recent Tech-Automate Solutions Day Logistics, held in Zaragoza by the Aragon Institute of Technology, brought together experts from different sectors to discuss the future of logistics under the title “Logistics 5.0: Towards a Truly Intelligent and Human Supply Chain?”
Sergio Puente, manager of Lacor Textil, participated in this roundtable discussion alongside representatives from ASAI Industrial, ALIA, ITA, and LM Group, sharing our company’s perspective on the challenges and opportunities that automation and digitalization pose to the logistics ecosystem.
Key topics covered during the roundtable included the reasonable limits of automation, flexibility in robotic environments, trust in data, talent development, and the importance of business collaboration to accelerate innovation.
Puente highlighted Lacor Textil’s commitment to flexible and meaningful automation, based on modular and digital systems that allow it to adapt to changing scenarios without losing agility. He also emphasized the fundamental role of people in this transformation: “Automation makes sense when it improves efficiency without losing human value.”
Another relevant point was the need for an internal culture that supports digitalization, fostering ongoing training and trust in information to make better operational decisions.
The day concluded with a reflection on the future of the sector: moving toward more sustainable, collaborative, and strategic logistics, where decisions are made with long-term value in mind, not just immediate cost.
With its participation, Lacor Textil reaffirms its commitment to responsible innovation, where technology and people work hand in hand to build a more efficient, humane logistics system that is prepared for the challenges of the future.
