Last Wednesday, we had the privilege of participating in the “Humanistic Management: Growing by Making Others Grow” conference, an event organized by Marlex in Zaragoza that brought together more than one hundred professionals to reflect on the future of talent, leadership, and artificial intelligence in organizations.
The session opened with a presentation by Xavier Marcet, an international expert in humanistic strategy and leadership, who emphasized that artificial intelligence will transform the way companies operate, but it will never be able to replace creativity, critical thinking, or the ability to build trust.
His message was clear: “The difference will be made by our capacity to think and create.” This reflection perfectly aligns with how we at Lacor Textil understand people management.
Gorka Calderón’s participation in the talent and leadership round table
Our Head of HR, Gorka Calderón, participated in a roundtable discussion with representatives from Saica, Grupo Saphir Parfums, and Palacios Alimentación.
During the meeting, essential topics were addressed, such as talent retention beyond salary, focusing on projects with purpose and genuine development; the difficulty of attracting flexible profiles in highly seasonal sectors, such as textile logistics; the importance of listening to, recognizing, and supporting people in their professional growth; and the creation of strong cultures that make teams feel part of the organization’s future.
Gorka emphasized that, at Lacor Textil, “we don’t just aim to fill a temporary need, but rather to bring on board people who want to grow with us and become part of the team in the medium and long term.” This vision guides our talent strategy and is reflected in all our departments.

The meeting highlighted that today’s major challenges—digitalization, talent attraction, and change management—can only be addressed with more human-centered leadership, capable of balancing results, ethics, innovation, and purpose.
